Mason Jewelry
...Will It Prevent Receiving A Ticket?

by Bob
(London)

Is it true that if you are wearing Masonic jewelry, you will not get stopped by the police?

Simon:

Hi Bob,

No,...I'm sorry, but this is not true. This is another of the many Masonic myths that circulate.

Freemasons are taught to abide by moral laws as well as the laws of their respective countries.

If a policeman stops them, such as for a traffic violation, (even if the policeman is a member of the fraternity), wearing a piece of Mason jewelry will not prevent them from receiving a ticket.

You see, if the policeman is a Freemason, he, too, has been taught by both the fraternity, as well as by the law enforcement agency for which he works, to abide by our country's laws.

Therefore, wearing a piece of Mason jewelry will not prevent someone from receiving a traffic ticket,... just like everyone else.

Good question. Thanks for asking.

Simon

Traffic Ticket
by: Gene

However, it IS definitely true that if you drive in accordance with the traffic laws, your chance of getting stopped is drastically reduced.... even if you are not a Mason!

Simon:

Thanks for this reminder, Gene. A traffic ticket is received by people who have broken the law.

These laws are made to be obeyed by everyone.

If a person isn't breaking the law, there would be no need to attempt to find a way to circumvent receiving a traffic ticket.

Thanks for the input.
