In Hoc Signo Vinces Pendant

I found this amongst some pins and some skull and cross bones. I don't know what this piece is. Can you help?

Simon Says: In Hoc Signo Vinces is Latin for the Greek phrase: "with this as your standard you shall have victory."

This motto has been known to be used by many organizations and military groups since approximately the year 312 C.E., and possibly previous to that.

In Freemasonry, it:

Appears on the Knight Templar Cross in the York Rite branch of Freemasonry.

Appears on the Ancient and Illustrious Order Knights of Malta cross.

Baldric Star
by: Anonymous

The item pictured is the Star of the Order of Knights Templar. It is usually worn by Sir Knights on a piece of Regalia called The Baldric.

Thank you to this writer who was kind enough to share more information about this piece of Masonic jewelry.
